Ndéla Faye is a journalist, writer and voice actor.
Ndéla lived abroad for over two decades before returning to her old stomping grounds in Helsinki in 2020. She has spent over ten years in journalism and communications.
Her journalism has focused on race and racism, immigration, identity, decolonisation, gentrification, pop culture and more. Her work has appeared in The Guardian, HuffPost, Indy Voices, VICE, Metro UK, Al Jazeera English, The Mirror, Courrier International and Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown series on CNN/Roads & Kingdoms. She has also worked as a journalist for Finland’s national broadcaster Yle and Maailman Kuvalehti.
In addition, she has written hundreds of advertorials on Nordic design, tech and travel for an international in-flight magazine.
Ndéla earned her undergraduate degree at Queen Mary, University of London before completing her Master’s degree in Journalism at Birkbeck, University of London.
